bauhaus for children

I love everything from naef.
Especially their bauhaus toys collection.
I know that Magga won't think these are interesting.
He only wants to be a superhero 'ultraman' in these days.
I have been raising him in a wrong way...maybe.
But he seems to be a very happy boy anyway.
I will think of him that way though.

my friend

Outside my window, the big bamboo tree has been standing there with me for over 30 years.
I'm kind of people who tries to avoid the feeling of bonding.
I don't have pets. I don't want any. I don't want to cry when they die.
But looking through my window and working next to this tree for more than half of my life.
This tree became many parts of my memories.
My mother just told me that tomorrow they will cut this big bamboo tree
for building the new road at the back of my house,
next to my room where this tree has been standing for more than 50 years.
For someone it's just a bamboo tree but for me this is my friend.

4.11.10

I've been away from home for awhile.
And just came back to see many parts of my country has been flooded.
The houses, the roads, the rice fields, the temples and the people...everything.
I know we deserved this punishment for what we've done to this world.
But if Bangkok is the capital city so we get free pass for this punishment.
Is it the right thing for us?
Magga asked me last night for the reason of our city is free from flooding.
When I told him that because we live in capital city.
Then he asked me.....
if we are bad people to replace this suffering to others.
I didn't know what to say.
I just couldn't sleep all night.

something japanese III: haruki murakami quotes

"Whatever it is you're seeking won't come in the form you're expecting."

"In this world, there are things you can only do alone, and things you can only do with somebody else.
It's important to combine the two in just the right amount."

“I am 55 years old now. It takes three years to write one book.
I don't know how many books I will be able to write before I die.
It is like a countdown. So with each book I am praying - please let me live until I am finished.”

"I'm not so weird to me."

"Among the many values in life, I appreciate freedom most."

"Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional."
from What I Talk About When I Talk About Running

"Sometimes I get real lonely sleeping with you."
from A Wild Sheep Chase

"Memories are what warm you up from the inside. But they're also what tear you apart."
from Kafka on the Shore

"Why do people have to be this lonely? What's the point of it all?
Millions of people in this world, all of them yearning, looking to others to satisfy them, yet isolating themselves.
Why? Was the earth put here just to nourish human loneliness?"
from Sputnik Sweetheart

portrait by magga

Magga came back from school with a piece of paper.
He told me that today he drew my picture in the class.
Due to his lack of interests in any kind of art activities,
he never wants to color, to paint or to draw anything,
to see my first portrait by him really makes me smile.
And of course....
it's a smile from the deepest of my heart as he always asking for.

Claudio Silvestrin

I always wonder if we could really live in a minimal space with a little kid.
It must be a hard work keeping things in places.
