My references from India

I found a lot of interesting elements for my work in India.
I normally like something that clean and simple which is the opposit of India.
To think about India I would use the word of "opulence".
But in something that's so maximum you still find something that's so minimal.
Their fabric shop only have a white mattress
which you sit on while they keep all the fabric neatly on the wall.
At Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur there is a giftshop
which I think the design is clean and simple in the opulent atmosphere.
I love how they make this contrast.

My trip "India with Simone"

Going to India is one thing but going to India with your friend is another thing.
There's a lot of chances that things happen unexpected and lead you to disagreements.
With your true friend you can go through those.
But with some you can't.
We spend 20 days together...there were good days and bad days.
The thing is...I'm glad that we're still be friends until these days.
I think that's because we are true friends and we found that after our India trip.

My new cotton blouse in grey

I made a new blouse in grey cotton and really really happy with it.
It fits me perfecrly and the cotton is so good to wear in hot weather like these days here.
I also had it in white before.

My clothing "What I've been wearing recently"

I made this first blouse 5 years ago.
I was also wearing this as my maternity blouse but altered the pattern a little bit.
This one is my eight edition so far.
I love wearing the same thing and find that what I wear for the longest is my most favorite one.

My thought “What kind of your shoes?”

Haven’t we been told that we could tell a lot of someone by just looking at their shoes?
So this is what we are.
My husband,Kanchit loves sneakers.
I love eccentric.
And Magga,my son loves colors.
Then these shoes can tell you a thousand words about us.

Quote of the day "Albert Camus"

We all need colors in our lives...sometimes.

I designed this salon in 1999.
My work was not normally colorful
but for that project I felt like pink and green so much
because those were two colors that you can see around in fashion runway at that time.
So I have grill-panel painted pink on one side and green on the other.
So when you walk in the salon you see pink panel
but when you walk out this turn to be green.

My first handmade blouse

My first handmade clothing is my sleeveless blouse.
I’ve been wearing this for over 18 years and remake it over and over again.
My grandmother has taught me to do this.
She’s an amazing self-taught artist who is 82 years old now.
This kind of blouse is called “Kor Kra Chauw”
that old people wearing in their everyday life for a long time.
And my grandmother makes her own all the time with the recycle pieces of cloth.
After that blouse I made another similar things and wear them every summer.

My favorite color

I normally wear white shirt. I didn't know that
until 10 years ago....my little niece told me that white must be my favorite color
then I asked her why....she said....because you wera only white shirt!....I still do.

I love muslin

All of my blouses made from muslin.
It's so lightweight and breezy. Comfortable to wear.
You don't need it to be iron.
It looks better with the wrinkles.
Doesn't it sound too good. But it's true.
Need I say more?

Handmade basket

As a mother I need something to keep Magga's toy in their place.
As an iterior designer I need something that fit in my clean space.
This is the perfect one for me.
